Sports Club saves on membership card cost by using the id card business
 the id card business has recently provided a local Sports Club with the very latest style of plastic card printing system.
The club was finding that their existing proximity cards were very expensive and buying from their access company was restrictive.
The club needed:
- Flexibility in the quantities produced down to as little as one card
- Cost effectiveness
- Security so that only permitted people could print the cards
- A prestigious, high quality image
The id card business system gave the club flexibility as they can now produce small print runs whereas when they were buying the cards they were tied to quantities of 500+ to keep the price per card low. Now if a member loses a card it can be replaced immediately without any delay or cost implications.
The card printing machine is cost effective, easy to use and takes up no more space than the average office inkjet printer. In fact, it paid for itself during the first print run and now it costs just pence to produce each card. Previously when buying cards from their access control proximity supplier cards were often as much as £4 each!
Security is still maintained as they now use a magnetic stripe to authorise members' access and only approved users can use the printers software.
They have maintained the high quality of the plastic cards and their members are still proud to carry their club membership card.
