Re-transfer Card Printer for Proximity and smart chip cards
 The new Magicard Prima offers true edge to edge printing on both sides of a card in exceptional, full colour (16.7 million colours) print quality. Due to re-transfer technology, the new PRIMA is perfect for printing onto cards that previously posed a problem to most card printers.
In particular, the PRIMA produces superb results on smart chip and proximity cards, even if they do not have a completely smooth surface. You can now print on to cards such as PVC, PVH, ABS, and PET. You can even print directly on to clamshell proximity cards. The print technology has proven to be extremely successful in high security card projects. Since the introduction of the re-transfer technology years ago, the new PRIMA embraces the latest advances in re-transfer card printing.

Encoding Features
 One ID may contain several encoding features and be used for such applications as access control, time and attendance, cashless payment functions and other, even using different encoding technologies. Regardless of whether barcode, magnetic stripe or smart chip, the PRIMA prints and encodes in one single process. Even cards with combined encoding technologies can be handled. The printing process only starts after a card is successfully encoded, saving money on consumables in case a smart chip is defective.

LAMINATING MODULE
An In-Line laminating module to allow for translucent holograms can be added. It can also apply rugged polyester patches either side of the card to ensure better wear.
An add-on card feeder for stand alone operation is also available and can be set up in-line with the laminating module.
 Cleaning Kits
Most problems related to ID card printers are caused by dirt. Dye-sublimation printing is a sensitive process but, with regular maintenance, you will extend the life of the printer. A cleaning kit comprises of cleaning cards and a cleaning pen for the printhead. Replaceable tacky rollers clean the cards prior to printing.
Print Heads
There is no longer any need to call out an engineer when you need to fit a new printhead. Our easy-to-fit, simple field replaceable unit (single fastener and connector) means you'll be up and running again within minutes.
